SolidWorks World heralds the latest and greatest developments from the global SolidWorks community. Max Piper, Intercad's CEO, has just come back from SolidWorks 2010 in the US, and shares a sneak preview of what's in store for Australian and New Zealand customers later this year with the release of SolidWorks 2011.

The name Mark Duggan will be familiar to many of our customers, most of whom would have been in contact with Mark at one point or another for support, advice or ideas on how to get the most from their SolidWorks investment.

Sydney,Australia: 14th May 2009 - Australia's largest SolidWorks reseller, Intercad has appointed Alan Wickett to the position of Regional Sales Manager, North East.

Sydney,Australia: 28th April 2009 - Australia's largest SolidWorks suppler Intercad has promoted Cassandra McPhail to the position of Marketing Manager.

Sydney,Australia: 20th February 2009 - Intercad is proud to announce it is now conducting 3D CAD Training in SolidWorks 2009, the latest version of Australasia’s leading 3D CAD system.

Orlando, USA: 11th February 2009 – During the final General Session on Wednesday, a brief introduction on the new features of SolidWorks 2010 were revealed. Here’s a quick list.

Orlando, USA: 11th February 2009 – Prototype This is a show on Discovery Channel where four engineers create prototypes for radical new ideas. Dr. Mike North and Joe Grant represented the show at the final day General Session. 

Orlando, USA: 11th February 2009 – The final day began as usual, with the General Session.  Jeff Ray spoke about a new program that will start later this year called Engineering Stimulus Package.

Orlando, USA: 10th February 2009 - The General Session today was full of partners and customers of SolidWorks demonstrating how they use SolidWorks in their daily product development.

Orlando, USA: 10th February 2009 - SolidWorks is investigating the future of technology and the CAD interface.  In the Partner Pavilion, they have a Microsoft Surface table set up with a basic 2D sketcher and eDrawings running on it.

Orlando, USA: 9th February 2009 - SolidWorks treated the journalists and other media representatives to a dinner function at The Great Hall of China in Disney’s Epcot China Courtyard.

Orlando, USA: 9th February 2009 - SolidWorks World 2009 began with an impressive 3D animation of the Mega Brands Inc. iCoaster.  Then, SolidWorks CEO Jeff Ray took the stage.

Sydney, Australia: 6th Feb 2009 – Intercad will be sending a small contingent to SolidWorks World 2009 which will be held at Orlando, Florida from the 8th – 11th of February 2009. 

Sydney, Australia: January 2009 - Exclusive to subscription customers the SolidWorks Knowledge Base which has taken three years to compile now contains over 75,000 entries.  The Knowledge base is filled with easy to find answers to commonly asked questions and provides a valuable resource to all SolidWorks users. 

Sydney, Australia: October, 2008 – Computer-aided design and manufacturing specialist, Intercad held the SolidWorks Innovation Day throughout Australia and New Zealand from October 13 – 17. The latest version of SolidWorks, SolidWorks 2009, and new authoring tool, 3DVIA, were launched at the event.

SYDNEY, Australia, July 14, 2008 – 3D CAD/CAM specialist Intercad has appointed Pat Cleary as State Manager, Western Australia. Cleary is tasked with leveraging the growth in the state’s resources sector to support Intercad’s planned growth.
